Incorrect hours posted. Hours say close at 9pm, tried calling at 8:15pm and get a message that says they are closed.

Best local pizza, nothing beats their thin crust pizzas.

I ordered a taco pizza and cheese sticks. It took 1 1/2 hours to get my food then i didnt open the taco packet that comes with all the toppings right away, but when i did open it i found what looked like 2 bread sticks and some butter. I called right away and the new store manager answered the phone i preceded to tell him my problem. He then checked with the driver and the order that was delivered before mine and no one had it. He then said that i had to have gotten it and yelled at me because he thought all i wanted was a free pizza then he hung up on me when i was in mid sentence. I called back and told him i would not be treated this way and told him to send me a new pizza and the taco packet. He said fine and hung up. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. He need to learn how to treat a loyal customer and grow the business by taking care of those who do order from him.

The Taco pizza is delivered with a basic pizza and all of the "taco" stuff is applied by the consumer from the supplied kit. Somehow all of the rest of the pizza restaurants can mange a finished project delivered to your door.

I have never ordered a pizza from here untill tonight. I called was put on hold which is fine. When someone returned they were extremely direct which came off as rude. They are busy I can understand that. As a new customer I needed someone more helpful. I ordered a taco pizza. The pizza came on time. They handed me two boxes. One box had a pizza that was smaller than the other two competitors. The second box had watery tomatoes in a small container, lettuce wrapped in paper and a small bag of Doritos. The pizza was very bad, the dough, the sauce, the meat all of it. $23 not including tip to the driver to build a pizza that doesn't compare in quality to their competitors is not something I enjoy. I think this place needs to order from other local pizza joints/gas stations to get some different ideas.

Fast delivery. Food was great and plentiful.

Ordered a pizza online took one hour and 40 minutes to get here when it finally did get here it was ice cold The best way is to just go pick it up yourself

We just moved to Ankeny in May of 2014. We were very disappointed in the food we had been finding in Des Moines and Ankeny. We decided to try Northern Lights simply because it was close, despite the mixed reviews. The first time we ordered the Double pepperoni specialty pizza with garlic butter crust... And some other pizza. The other pizza was just OK... But the double pep special with garlic butter crust gave me a pizzagasm. For almost a year now we have ordered at least one a week. The quality is always top notch, delivery is fast, and pizza is hot. So I don't know what all the fuss is about. Maybe people live too far away from the store? But anyway.. I highly recommend you try this pizza. My one criticism is that sometimes they seem to forget to make it a double pep, or sometimes they forget the garlic butter on the crust. The pizza is so good we just forgive them and keep ordering. TRY IT RIGHT NOW.

I ordered pepperoni with extra cheese, normally pepperoni is a greasy pizza, this was not. Delightfully crispy thin crust and just the right amount of spices.Delivered quickly to my motel room.

Ordered it while staying at Quality Inn. Man, delivery was crazy quick. Pizza and breadsticks were awesome. Loved the fact that I could order garlic as a topping. Definitely gonna order next time I'm in town.

Their pizza is usually delicious if the order is correct and it is delivered in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, I don't think I have ever received my complete order (side sauces, all toppings, etc.), and it is delivered cold far too often. They have about a 50% success rate, but when the food is correct it is good enough to keep me trying again.Updated 03/18/17: Recent orders have been pretty solid over the past few months. Bumping up a star.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Northern Lights Pizza's delivery service. The staff is always very friendly and on time (usually ahead of schedule). The food is consistently delicious. They have the best Gluten Free pizza around!

My car battery died Saturday afternoon in front of the Ankeny store. I just want to say Thank You again to the kid who came out to help jump start my vehicle. He was so nice to use his own car and jumper cables. The kind act was so much appreciated!

Have been wanting to try Northern Lights since we moved here. They advertise on the radio that they are the BEST, after all.The pizza's were disappointing. The service was great, very friendly, but the pizza, well, probably will not be back.After the condescending retort from the dishwasher/deliveryboy/cook/now OWNER, I most definitely will not go back!PIZZA HUT!

Sincerely some of the best pizza & calzones I've had anywhere in my travels. Their thin crust pizza is especially delicious. Their cheese sticks need more cheese and more flavor (like Casey's), but the pizza is always first rate. I rarely order pizza from any other pizza shop in Ankeny, unless I need it closer to home. Keep making a delicious, fresh, high-quality product that you would pay good money to eat yourself and I will consistently give you my family's dinner-time patronage for your pizza art & craft.

i refused to order from this location for about 1 year. i had tried to order from them in the past and multiple times no one would answer or the order just never showed up. BUT this time was great!! i ordered delivery online and hit to many buttons bc i was in a hurry with 2 toddlers making a mess behind me. a girl from the store (shelly maybe, idk lol) called me and asked if the order was right!! i was impressed most places just really dont give a damn they just make it. then the eta was 40min, got here in 20min! THEN the guy that delivered the pizza (nicholis taylor, is what the rcpt said ) was very nice and interacted with my 1 year old and ive never a delivery driver be so nice to my kids when they stand there in the way and stare at them lol! it was great i hope it stays that way bc i love northern lights and missed it!!

Always fast with some of the best pizza you could ask for from a chain. My only wish is for a few more exotic topping choices

Had pizza delivered tonight. Arrived hot and tasty! Person who took my order was friendly and accommodating, ( considering I was having it delivered to a semi truck in a parking lot) actually very accommodating. Delivery driver was also friendly and professional. Will definitely order again when I'm in the area.

Closest thing to chicago pizza out here. Not saying it's anything special but it's better than every where else I've tried. Cheese sticks are where it's at

I am giving Northern Lights 5 stars for a few reasons...1. The food is tasty and you can choose from many options 2. The owner Rob's passion to succeed and make sure the experience at his location is creating satisfied customers along with repeat business and as a business owner myself is important. I had a mix up on my order and the way that Rob himself chose to handle it was an example of what winners do and losers won't! This store is a franchise so when giving them business you are supporting our local community!!

I went to pick my pizza up but they didn't have it. I believe the driver got caught trying to steal my order. They brought it back through back door and owner didn't apologize at all. I think the health department should know about this practice! They should have made me a new pizza once it left the building! Very poor service!

My pizza was over an hour late. I called to ask about the wait and the man told me the delivery guy had just left and was enroute. I asked why it took over an hour to leave when i recieved an email shortly after ordering confiming my order placement as well as a delivery time set at 40 minutes. The man on the phone proceeded to state that if i had a concern about timing I should have called, which I was doing right then. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was it, then told me that he was cancelling my order and calling back the driver because of my attitude. I work in the food industry and have dealt with customer concerns as well as overseen other managers dealing with them and I have never been involved in something so rude and insulting. I will never order from this company again.

Best breadsticks I've ever had by far. Legend has it that the dough is made from the milk of a unicorn and flour from the original amber waves of grain.. You know, the ones that song is about. The pizza dough is made from the same goodness so you'd better believe that the pizza is the best ever too. The service never disappoints, either. Once, the delivery man forgot my delicious breadsticks. To make it up to me, he called ahead to the shop to have another batch ready to deliver to me as soon as he got back. He returned quickly with a free two liter of Pepsi. This place is worth every penny.MERICA!

Update: Robb, the owner, called and sincerely apologized for the error and wanted to make it right. I greatly appreciate his time and interest as I have been a regular customer for several years and have always been pleased. Thank you! My husband and I ordered 3 small pizzas yesterday; BBQ Pork, Buffalo Chicken, and Grinder. I selected the 2x well done as we prefer a crispier crust. Our pizza arrived and it was burnt to the point we had a hard time distinguishing which pizza each was. There was no BBQ sauce left on the pork and all of the buffalo sauce was dried up. If 2x well done is this "done" what does the 4x option look like? We threw the majority of the pizza away. I was going to call but considering it took over an hour from it to arrive, I had lost my appetite.

Ordered from this pizzeria when staying at the Hampton Inn on my way throught Iowa. I am very picky about pizza and this was excellent!

Been a customer for over 10 yrs. Called at 8:45 and multiple times over the next hour and they don't pick up th phone. Won't ever order anything from them again. Last couple times I been in there they've had a tweeked out staff. Done

i tried to order a pizzzza at 1045 and got no answer twice! it is listed that they are open until midnight....the other times i have ordered it ws very good....im just very disappointed that they closed early on a thursday night
